A Valley man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison on charges connected to a decade-old rape case.
Judge Anthony Donofrio's Court confirmed that 30-year-old Franklin Herns has been sentenced to 11 years in prison on one count of rape. A jury previously found him guilty of this charge last week.
The charge stems from an incident from September of 2013, in which Herns engaged in sexual conduct with a female victim.
According to Herns's indictment, the victim was 18 years old at the time of the incident, but the indictment did not provide any further information.
