Pedestrian struck along street on Youngstown's Westside

Traffic investigators were called out to Youngstown's West Side Tuesday morning after dispatchers got a call that someone was struck by a car.

YOUNGSTOWN - Traffic investigators were called out to Youngstown's West Side Tuesday morning after dispatchers got a call that someone was struck by a car.

It happened at around 8:30 a.m. along Kirk Road, just west of Bears Den Road.

The Youngstown Fire Department and Police were on the scene.

An ambulance took one person to Mercy Hospital. Police describe the injury as minor.

21 News is working to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the accident.
