Become a certified storm spotter

If you've ever wanted to ever become a certified storm spotter, Wednesday is your chance.
The National Weather Service office in Cleveland will be hosting its Mahoning County session Wednesday, April 12th at the Austintown Township Park at 6 PM.
According to the National Weather Service, "These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service."
Information covered in the two-hour sessions covers anything from the basics of thunderstorm development, severe weather safety, and even how to report information.

If you miss this session, the National Weather Service office in Pittsburgh will be hosting their Columbiana County session at Columbiana Career and Technical Center, 9364 OH-45 Lisbon, OH 44432 on May 1st at 6:30 PM.
