Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini inducted into National Boxing Hall of Fame
Youngstown boxing star, Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini was inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 23 alongside 22 other boxers like Art Frias, Hector Camacho, Bridgett Riley and many more.
A local boxing legend has officially been inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame on Monday.
Youngstown boxing star, Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini was inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 23 alongside 22 other boxers like Art Frias, Hector Camacho, Bridgett Riley and many more.
Boom Boom is no stranger to Hall of Fames though, being inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015, as well as the Curbstone Coaches Hall of Fame in the early 1990s.
Mancini went pro in 1979 and held the WBA Lightweight Championship between 1982 and 1984. He retired in 1992 with a record of 29-5 and 23 knockouts.
