Golf icon Annika Sorenstam hosting charity golf tournament for East Palestine community

POLAND, Ohio - Golf icon, Annika Sorenstam, ANNIKA Managing Director and Sorenstam's husband, Mike McGee and Muransky Companies CEO, Ed Muransky are leading an effort to rally celebrity friends and folks across the county to support East Palestine residents after February's train derailment disaster.
Beginning Monday, May 15, Sorenstam and McGee are hosting a golf tournament with the United Way of Youngstown with all proceeds going to victims of the East Palestine train derailment.
McGee is a native of East Palestine and said that he was devastated to see what happened in his community and wanted to help in any way he could.
"My heart just sank, really. You feel for everybody there and just the uncertainty and what's happening. I know if I lived there I'd be wondering is it safe? Am I breathing in toxic chemicals? What's up with my kids, my future? All that kind of stuff," McGee said.
The tournament is being held at the Lake Club in Poland.
Sorenstam and McGee partnered with the United Way of Youngstown and The Way Station in order to make this tournament a reality. All proceeds will go to the United Way and the Mahoning Valley fund earmarked for East Palestine support.
