A suspect in a 2016 Youngstown homicide has been arrested in Youngstown Tuesday afternoon.

U.S. Marshals arrested 25-year-old D'Aundre Turner near the 100 Block of East Hilton Avenue in Youngstown after a foot chase. Marshals say during the chase, Turner tried to break into a home in order to avoid officers.

Turner was previously indicted for the murder of 23-year-old Omar Croom on Oak Street Extension in 2016. He's charged with Aggravated Murder, Aggravated Robbery and Obstructing Justice.

Turner, along with another suspect identified as Ranee Fitzgerald allegedly lured Croom to an address near Oak Street Extension and New Road, where the two allegedly shot and killed him.

"Continued efforts by the Youngstown Police Department led to the identification and arrest of this fugitive seven years after the murder," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.
