Beloit man charged with vehicular homicide in triple fatal crash
According to Carroll County Municipal Court records, 54-year-old Douglas Mackey of Beloit is charged with three counts of vehicular manslaughter.
A Beloit man is facing multiple charges following a crash that killed three people in Carroll County including an East Liverpool man.
According to Carroll County Municipal Court records, 54-year-old Douglas Mackey of Beloit is charged with three counts of vehicular manslaughter.
The charges stem from a crash that occurred back in April of 2023 in Monroe Township when OSP troopers say Mackey went left of center striking a Honda Odyssey in the oncoming traffic lane.
The driver of the Odyssey was identified as 60-year-old Randy Simmons of East Liverpool. Two other men, both from Hammondsville, Ohio were pronounced dead as well.
Mackey is scheduled to be arraigned on July 5.
