Threat for showers and storms headlines the next couple days

There will be two areas of low pressure moving through the area over the next 48 hours that will lead to the potential for showers and thunderstorms.
Sunday will be a warmer and muggier day compared to Saturday. High temperatures will reach the mid-80s, with dewpoints rising into the upper 60s. Partly sunny skies will be around for much of the day, with showers and storms becoming likely during the evening.
Showers will taper off overnight as the first area of low pressure clears the area. As the second low approaches, showers and storms will again be likely on Monday. There will even be the potential for strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening, with the possibility of damaging winds. A couple showers could linger into Tuesday morning.
Tuesday will be the coolest day of the week, with highs only in the mid-70s. Highs will remain seasonable throughout the rest of the week.
