A vacant shed located on the property of Choffin Career and Technical Center has been charred following a fire Thursday afternoon.

The fire, which started around noon was initially reported as a brush fire according to Youngstown dispatch, but when our news crews arrived on scene, the fire was found to be in the shed.

According to Choffin Principal, Michael Saville, the shed has been vacant since 2020 after homeless people were found living inside of it No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Youngstown Fire Chief, Barry Finley tells 21 News the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
