For one evening each year, children in costumes fill The Shops at Boardman Park. They parade from shop to shop, collecting candy and treats. For Halloween 2023, that will not be the case.

On Tuesday, The Shops at Boardman Park announced that there will not be a trick-or-treat event there this year.

The announcement came in the form of a Facebook post that reads as follows:

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the shops will not be holding a Trick-or-Treat event this year. We apologize for the inconvenience and with everyone a safe and happy Halloween." -The Shops at Boardman Park

It is not clear why the event will not happen, but many parents have made their disappointment clear in the comment section.
