A truck crashed into a home and then caught on fire in Lawrence County Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities on scene said a pickup truck was traveling down Miller Road in Union Township when it went off course and struck two homes. It happened shortly after 3 p.m.

After hitting the second house, the truck caught on fire which then spread to the home.

Neighbors pulled the driver out of the truck before authorities arrived. He was then transported to a local hospital. The house was occupied, but nobody inside was injured.

The fire was put out shortly after crews arrived.

Union Township Assistant Fire Chief Randy Conti said the man may have suffered a medical emergency.
