A Sharpsville, Pennsylvania man was being held in the Trumbull County Jail early Saturday on charges filed in connection with a deadly traffic accident.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 55-year-old Joseph Yuran was driving a pickup truck that ran a stop sign at the intersection of US 422 and State Route 305 in Southington late Friday.

Troopers say the pickup truck ran into a Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Tyler Richmond, 23, of Warren.

Richmond died at the scene of the crash.

After being treated for minor injuries, Yuran was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and for aggravated vehicular homicide.
