Certain batches of holiday nog recalled due to presence of undeclared egg allergens

Ohio & Mahoning Valley - Certain batches of a drink that's a major staple of the holiday season have been recalled due to the presence of an undeclared egg allergen.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Prairie Farms Dairy Inc. has issued a recall of certain batches of private label Holiday Nog sold at United Dairy Farmer stores between December 4 and December 6 2023 that may contain the allergen.
The recall involved half gallon jugs of nog with the product and lot number 7631005049 I 21-65 and a code date of 12-19-2023.
Those with egg allergies or severe sensitivities to eggs run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.
Currently, there have been no reported illnesses from the recalled product.
