BOARDMAN, Ohio - Police are investigating a car theft in Boardman.

According to the police report, the victim and her boyfriend approached an officer and told him that their SUV filled with nearly $1,000 of Christmas gifts had been stolen from the parking lot of Double Bogey's Bar & Grill between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday.

The officer followed the couple back to where their car had been parked and found broken glass, as a piece of the door handle. Based on the location of the broken glass it appeared as though a rear window had been broken.

The car had been locked, and the keys were not left inside.

The car is a black, 2019 Hyundai Tuscon with a "Mohican Hills Golf Course" license plate bracket. The car has a State Farm "drive safe and save" tracker inside of it, but it is unknown if the car can be tracked with that device.
