Propane services returning to Valley customers after almost six days without heat

Several residents and businesses without propane to heat their homes and businesses since Thursday are slowly getting it back.
According to several reports, customers using Salem Propane to heat their homes were without heat during one of the coldest weeks so far in 2024.
Nearly every account given to 21 News says customers were without the gas to heat their homes for about six days.
A Facebook post from one of the company's managers Carol Beeson says the company experienced issues delivering propane gas due to one of their drivers being out of action due to a serious accident and the other being stuck in the snow for about eight hours.
Additionally, the company has been dealing with technical issues like a phone outage this weekend.
Beeson apologized several times in her post, explaining the delays.
The delays in service led to several customers being forced to tough out the coldest days so far this winter without heat, some of whom called more than two weeks ago to schedule a propane delivery in advance of running out.
According to two concerned customers, they scheduled a delivery date with the business but never showed up.
Propane for both of the customers 21 News spoke received deliveries earlier today.
21 News has reached out to Salem Propane for further comment but has heard back as of the time this story was posted.
