SHARON, Pa. - The Mercer County Coroner's Office has revealed the name of a man that died from head trauma after being found on the 700 block of New Castle Avenue.

Coroner John Libonati identified the male of 35-year-old Edward Reedy of Sharpsville.

According to a police report, the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Police were originally called for a report of a trespasser and found Reedy unconscious.

The report states he was suffering from a head wound and was taken to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries. At this time it is unclear if the head wound caused the death.

Mercer County Coroner John Libonati tells 21 News the cause of death is still under investigation, but an autopsy is expected to be conducted at noon on Wednesday, February 7.

The incident is an active investigation. according to Sharon Captain of Detectives MarcAnthony Adamo.
