YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown City Council met Thursday afternoon to go over the city's budget for 2024.

Last month, 21 News reported on how the city's police overtime budget reached almost $3 million in 2023 due to a shortage of officers.

City council members say they will discuss police and fire budgets at a later date because they focus on smaller departments first, like the city's street department and code enforcement.

As for the city's $82 million in ARP funds, they have less than $10 million unallocated left to use.
