YSU not cutting faculty after offering early retirement or separation options
A letter from Interim Provost Jennifer Pintar said "collaborative efforts between faculty and administration" to stop the cuts.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Potential cuts to faculty at Youngstown State University are being put on the back burner for the time being.
A letter from Interim Provost Jennifer Pintar said "collaborative efforts between faculty and administration" to stop the cuts.
Pintar's letter said a plan that prioritized exploring options for early retirement or separation has been implemented.
She says a number of faculty members opted for the early retirement opportunity, making cuts unnecessary. The separation incentive will be compensated with 80% of their salary as part of the package for the upcoming academic year.
