South Range Local Schools donating over $1,000 worth of blankets to Beatitude House

MAHONING COUNTY, Ohio - South Range Local Schools is donating over $1,000 worth of blankets to the Beatitude House.
Physical Education teacher Kalie Luklan applied to the "Blankets of Hope" organization so the school could participate in the charity's mission of supporting people experiencing homelessness.
"Blankets of Hope" is a nonprofit that helps that helps students practice empathy and kindness in an impactful service-learning experience. South Range Local Schools was chosen by the organization to be given blankets that they could donate to a charity of their choice.
Along with the blankets, South Range fourth grade students colored pictures and wrote letters of encouragement for women and children at the Beatitude House in Youngstown.
On Friday, the Beatitude House will pick up $1,200 worth of blankets from the school.
