WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. - A West Middlesex man is being held on a $250,000 bond after allegedly threatening to shoot police officers in the head.

Court records show 28-year-old Douglas Fetterman was scheduled April 1 for a summary trial hearing for a charge of public drunkenness.

According to a criminal complaint, Fetterman called the court saying he was not coming to his hearing telling a court employee over the phone that if a warrant was issued for him, he would "shoot [officers] dead with a rifle."

Police say the employee put the phone on speaker so everyone else could hear what she was hearing.

After the employee accidentally hung up the phone, police say Fetterman quickly called back and continued to make threats stating, "If you issue issue an arrest warrant, I'm going to shoot every single one of those cops. Not in the heart, in the f*****g head."

Shenango Township Police Chief Jason Newton tells 21 News these threats caused an exterior lockdown for West Middlesex schools. While, no threat was directly made to the school, Chief Newton tells us this was simply done as a precautionary measure.

Fetterman is currently facing charges of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned in court on Tuesday and is due back April 10.
