YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - One of the three finalists considered for Youngstown State University's new provost hosted her first public forum at Moser Hall.

Jennifer Pintar, Ph.D., is one of the three finalists for the position and is the first to speak to in the open forum. The others are Dr. Carolyn Smith-Keller and Dr. Alyson Gill.

Pintar currently serves as YSU's Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. She's been with YSU since 1999, joining the university as an instructor. She was promoted to professor in 2012 and named chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Science in 2014. In 2017, she was named associate provost for Academic Administration.

Dr. Alyson Gill most recently served as provost for Lees-McRae College. Sher worked in archaeology in Greece previously and spent nearly 20 years as a professor at Arkansas State University.

Gill will have her open forum Monday from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Dr. Carolyn Smith-Keller is the Associate Provost in Academic Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She is also a tenured faculty member in the university's social sciences department. Before joining Wisconsin-Platteville, she was an associate professor at Keene State College in New Hampshire.

Smith-Keller will follow on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
