Austintown man indicted in connection with deadly hit skip crash

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - An Austintown man has been indicted by a grand jury in connection with a fatal hit skip crash back in March.
According to Thursday's Mahoning County grand jury report, 49-year-old James Stehura was indicted on charges of reckless homicide, failure to stop after an accident and tampering with evidence.
The charges stem from a deadly hit skip crash back in March that claimed the life of 66-year-old Linda Adams who was walking her dog on Lancaster Drive near Carlisle Avenue.
A Ring doorbell camera at a nearby home captured video of a truck believed to have been involved in the crash. Police say Stehura's truck was the only one in the area matching the truck's description at that time.
The tampering with evidence charge stems from Stehura allegedly trying to conceal the damage his truck sustained from the crash.
