Retired U.S. Marine Colonel talks latest in Israel-Hamas War
The militant group Hamas says it's unwilling to make more concessions to Israel in negotiations over a ceasefire in Gaza.
Talks were still underway this past week in Cairo, while Israel continued tank and aerial strikes on the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
The Biden administration paused a shipment of bombs to Israel amid the concerns over those strikes. Retired U.S. Marine Colonel Brian Kennedy says, the U.S. needs to evaluate its role in the conflict, when it comes to the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"As the casualties in Gaza approach approximately 40,000, we need to recognize whether or not we want to continue to own that. We support Israel, but we don't like what they're doing in Gaza and we really in essence can't control a lot what goes on there," Kennedy noted.
