A Warren man spent part of the weekend in the Trumbull County Jail after being tasered by police outside a Taco Bell in Niles.

Seven officers were called to the restaurant on Youngstown Warren Road Saturday night after dispatchers were told that a man wearing cowboy boots and blue jeans was exposing himself to customers in the drive-thru.

Police found the suspect outside, saying he refused their orders to put his hands behind his back.

Officers say when the suspect tried to pull away from them, they forced him to the ground.

When he tried to get up, one of the officers said he fired his taser before they were able to handcuff him. After he was handcuffed, police say the suspect tried to kick the officers.

The 32-year-old suspect, Cody Gill of Warren, has been charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business.

Although a restaurant manager told police that customers complained that Gill had exposed himself to them, officers could not find anyone making those claims.
