ODOT seeking public comments on Lanterman Road bridge removal in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is looking for public comments on the removal of the Lanterman Road bridge over Interstate 680 in Austintown.
ODOT is inviting the public to take part in a virtual open house with an online presentation regarding the project.
According to the release, the proposed project is in the environmental engineering phase. That phase includes environmental studies and preliminary plan development.
ODOT says the bridge will close in the Spring of 2026 with bridge removal and cul-de-sac construction is scheduled between Spring and Fall 2026. Repaving of Lanterman Road is scheduled for Summer 2026.
The virtual open house event begins on June 12, 2024, and continues through July 12, 2024. You can view the plans here when they become available.
