Youngstown Police say a motorcyclist is hospitalized in "stable" condition after colliding with a Suburban SUV Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:45 pm near N. Meridian Road and Salt Springs Road.

The motorcycle driver was transported to the hospital. The SUV driver was not injured.

Meridian Road was temporarily closed in both directions while officers investigated the accident.
