Catholic Diocese of Youngstown looking to repurpose former St. Vincent de Paul site

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Last week, 21 News reported that St. Vincent de Paul was relocating its dining hall from Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church on Wood Street. Now the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown has a plan to repurpose the building that formerly housed that dining hall.
The Diocese says they plan to repurpose the building for a project that is currently in its early stages. A representative from the Diocese says they still need to secure a permit in order for this project to come into fruition.
Vicar General Msgr. John Zuraw tells 21 News the existing rectory at the church will be demolished and the church will be converted into a two-story building to store archives from all of the Diocese's churches.
The Diocese says the project is still in its early stages and more info is expected to be released soon.
21 News is working to learn how much this project will cost and how it will be funded.
