A man from Niles will spend two years in prison after robbing a Howland store in 2023.

Daniel Campbell, 44, plead guilty in July to third-degree robbery stemming from a robbery on Dec. 9, 2023, when Campbell took an electric fireplace, a black jacket and white hat from Tractor Supply totaling around $400 in value.

Employees chased Campbell out of the store and reportedly saw him strike a woman in an effort to get her to drive a car and leave the scene.

Campbell dropped the fireplace in the parking lot and the two then fled on foot, according to reports.

In addition to his sentence, he is not eligible for probation because of his criminal history, which included 11 prior felony convictions.

Four of these convictions were offenses of violence.
