Project to replace bridge struck by truck to finish ahead of schedule
The bridge replacement project started after a semi truck crashed into the bridge back in December of 2023 resulting in the damaged portion of the bridge needing to be demolished.

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. - A project to replace the bridge on Route 318 in West Middlesex is wrapping up early.
A representative from PennDOT tells 21 News the bridge was expected to be completed by November. However, the project was able to be completed ahead of schedule to reopen the bridge at the start of October.
The bridge replacement project started after a semi truck crashed into the bridge back in December of 2023 resulting in the damaged portion of the bridge needing to be demolished.
Demolition began in December and the bridge replacement project got underway in April of 2024.
