Four people in Ohio, two in Pennsylvania sickened by recalled Diamond Shruumz Products

The FDA has now linked 175 reported illnesses linked to recalled Diamond Shruumz-brand Chocolate Bars, Cones, and Gummies. Four of those cases are in Ohio, and two in Pennsylvania.
The agency reported on Thursday that there 33 people have been hospitalized and three others have died.
Diamond Shruumz-brand products have been recalled nationwide due to reports of severe illnesses. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged to not eat, sell, or serve them.
The recalled items were sold nationwide, including four stores in the Valley; Vapor Station - Alliance 640 West State Street, Alliance, OH; Smoke Shop, 100 Hadley Rd., Greenville, PA; Little Bros Smoke Shop, 1329 Youngstown Rd. SE, suite 1, Warren, OH; and Glass Paper & Vapor, 1603 Wilmington Rd., New Castle, PA.
Symptoms include seizures, CNS depression, agitation, abnormal heart rates, nausea, and vomiting.
The FDA is investigating the cause of the illnesses and has identified various harmful substances, including muscimol, acetylpsilocin, psilocin, pregabalin, and kavalactones, in the recalled products.
Anyone who has consumed the products and experienced symptoms should contact their healthcare provider and report the illness to the Poison Help Line at 1-800-222-1222.
