Trumbull County Recorder recognized as Golden Quill Award winner at 2024 Winter Conference
Trumbull County Recorder Tod Latell received quite the honor at the Ohio Recorders' Association's (ORA's) Winter Conference in November.
Latell was recognized as the 2024 Golden Quill Award winner, which is the highest honor a county recorder in Ohio can receive.
According to a press release, members of the ORA are asked to nominate a recorder in good standing whose commitment to the association includes contributing to the standardization of filing practices in offices statewide and the exchange of ideas and experiences that elevate and improve the overall office of Ohio County Recorder among other things.
"My team and I have always worked to improve the functionality of our office for Trumbull County residents and being recognized for helping other recorders enhance their offices is such an honor," Latell said.
Latell has been serving on the ORA's legislative committee since 2020. In 2023, he was named the Recorder's Division Director for the International Association of Government Officials (IGO).
