A Youngstown man is scheduled to be sentenced in April after pleading guilty to raping a minor over six years.

Michael Alexander, 50, pleaded guilty Thursday to two first-degree felony rape counts.  Nine other charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement. He’ll be sentenced on April 10 by Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge John Durkin.

According to the indictment, the crimes occurred between 2018 and 2023 when the victim was between the ages of 12 and 18.

Thirty-nine-year-old Ashley Cervello, who lived at the same address as Alexander, was also charged with bribery and intimidation to hinder the victim from filing charges.

Cervello is expected to enter a plea in her case on Thursday as well.
