We're learning more information about a Youngstown firefighter who has been placed on administrative leave and is facing charges.

Youngstown firefighter Adaris Bellamy is now facing two first degree misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing out of Warren Township for allegedly brandishing a rifle at two separate victims.

He was arraigned on these charges Friday, April 18 and is due back in court May 16.

According to a letter sent to Bellamy from the Youngstown Law Department, Bellamy allegedly went to the Warren Township Fire Station on April 7 and brandished a rifle in a sweeping motion at a firefighter there.

The letter further alleges that Bellamy then pulled up to a man and a woman at a food donation box near a bus station and pointed the gun at the man as well.

Court records show he was ordered to have no contact with the Warren Township Fire Department following his arraignment.

Following the incident, Bellamy has been placed on paid administrative leave as of April 9 pending an investigation.

When we talked to Youngstown Fire Chief Barry Finley on Wednesday, he told 21 News he would've never known about the situation if Warren Township police hadn't contacted him. A pre disciplinary hearing for Bellamy is set for Thursday, where each party will present its side. From there, Finley has 10 days to issue a discipline. While it's not clear what his punishment might be, the city law director tells 21 News all options are on the table.

Bellamy is originally from Florida and played football for YSU in 2013. He is due back in court Friday, April 18. In the meantime, court records show he was ordered to have no contact with the Warren Township Fire Department.

The firefighters union says they're following all procedures to represent Bellamy in this process.
