Westbound I-80 traffic moving again in Liberty following crash
LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - An accident that backed up westbound traffic on Interstate 80 in Liberty Township has now been cleared.
Callers to Trumbull Dispatch reported a rollover crash just east of the Belmont Avenue exit just after 11 a.m. Tuesday. A dispatcher with OSP says one person was taken to the hospital.
The dispatcher did not have any update on the extent of this person's injuries, but said she was alert and speaking at the scene.
The Ohio Department of Transportation website said there was a “dangerous slowdown” near the crash scene. ODOT's website now shows that the scene of the accident has been cleared as of around 1 p.m.
According to ODOT, as of 11:15 a.m., all lanes were closed on I-80 West beyond US-62/SR-7/Sharon Pa/Hubbard, due to a crash. Those lanes have since reopened.
The Liberty Fire Department was at the site of the crash.
