VIDEO: Semi crash at Kinsman restaurant cuts power, intersection closed to trucks
KINSMAN, Ohio - First Responders are on the scene of a tractor-trailer crash at Kinsman's Times Square restaurant.
A caller reported the crash just before 5:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Routes 5 and 7.
Dispatchers told 21 News that the truck crashed through a fence on the restaurant property and stopped in the woods behind the property. The building's roof was damaged.
Deputies on the scene report that the semi also brought down a utility pole and wires onto the building.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, State Route 7 is closed in both directions between State Route 87 and Mayburn Barclay Road. Route 5 is closed at Burnett East Road NE until the damage can be cleared.
No injuries have been reported.
As of 6 a.m., FirstEnergy had received reports of 316 power outages in the area. The utility estimates that electricity will be restored by 8:30 a.m.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
