Fallen tree downs wires, power out in part of Canfield
A fallen tree knocked out electricity to more than 170 homes in Canfield Friday morning.

CANFIELD A fallen tree knocked out electricity to more than 170 homes in Canfield Friday morning.
The tree brought down power lines along South Turner Road between Kirk and Gibson Roads, also catching a transformer on fire.
Traffic along South Turner was blocked off while crews made repairs.
FirstEnergy estimated that power would be back on by 10:30 a.m. However, the utility later recalculated that estimated time to 1 p.m.
