STRUTHERS - Two women appeared in court on Thursday in connection with a child endangering case in Struthers.

Thirty-three-year-old Kamille Hibbitt was sentenced to three years in prison with credit for 149 days served on a third-degree felony count of endangering children and a first-degree misdemeanor count of domestic violence.

Once released, Hibbitt will serve one to three years of probation.

Hibbitt pleaded guilty to these charges in February. The charges stem from the hospitalization of a seven-year-old boy with severe injuries.

Police said the boy was unconscious and covered in bruises, his body temperature was just 85 degrees, his sodium level was significantly lower than normal and that he had no pulse in his legs.

Hibbitt told police she delayed seeking care for the child because she was afraid she would be accused of abuse due to the bruises.

Additionally, Hibbitt's co-defendant, 30-year-old Essence Revely, entered a plea deal during the same hearing, pleading guilty to one third-degree felony count of endangering children. A misdemeanor charge of tampering with evidence was dismissed as a result of the plea deal.

Revely is a close friend of Hibbitt's. She admitted to police that several injury incidents involving the child occurred when he was in her care. Police said she told the child to "get better" on his own rather than go to the hospital.

Revely is scheduled to be sentenced on April 15.
