CANFIELD, Ohio - The entire Canfield School district will be closed Wednesday as families deal with flooding in their neighborhoods and the district cleans up water in many locations.

Superintendent Alex Geordan said that they made the call to cancel classes Wednesday as they thought about families and transportation in these conditions.

He said they made the call now so families could make arrangements for child care and also allow them time to work on the damage from flooding in their homes and basements.

Geordan that the school district has several inches of water in many locations so the custodial staff will be all hands on deck in the morning getting the water out and then assessing the cleaning that will need to take place.
