SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) - NASA is looking into creating a wind farm near Lake Erie at a research center it operates midway between Cleveland and Toledo.
The aerospace agency says the idea is still in the planning stage and that none of the details are complete.
NASA began searching last month for private developers interested in working on a large-scale wind farm project at the agency's Plum Brook Station near Sandusky.
Officials say the developer will build, own and operate the wind farm. NASA's Sandusky center plans to use some of the electricity that's generated, and the rest will be sold.
