WESTON, Ohio (AP) - One person has been killed when a train crashed into a car in northwestern Ohio.

It happened shortly after 7 p.m. Monday. The sheriff's office says the southbound vehicle failed to stop for an eastbound train at a crossing in Wood County, south of Toledo.

The passenger of the car was dead at the scene. The driver was flown to a Toledo hospital. Their names haven't been released.

The investigation continues.
