Police: Toga wearing driver knocks out power to Boardman neighborhood

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A toga-wearing YSU student is being blamed for knocking out power to several homes in Boardman Township Saturday morning.
Police say a car driven by 20-year-old Ivan Adu-Poku crashed into a utility pole along Sierra Madre Trail just after 3 a.m.
After making sure that Adu-Poku was not injured, they asked him why he was wearing a bedsheet belted at the waist.
The Boardman resident replied that he was coming back from a toga party held by the Alpha Phi Delta fraternity.
Officer sayAdu-Poku failed a field sobriety test and admitted drinkng vodka at the party.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in county court in Boardman Tuesday to answer charges of operating a vehicle under the influence and failing to maintain control of a vehicle.
