YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - It's been four years since the tragic death of Brandy Rosine and family and friends gathered to remember her Tuesday night.

The candle light vigil was on Youngstown State's campus where there is a bench in her memory.

Two 20-year-olds; Ashley Barber and Jade Olmstead,  are serving life sentences without the possibility of parole for the murder of Brandy.

Barber and Olmstead admitted that in May 2012, they lured Brandy to their Cochranton home where they beat her, water boarded her and then rolled her into a shallow grave where she suffocated. But there's one question they may never answer.

Brandy's mother, Carrie Rosine, says she still doesn't understand the reason why the two did what they did.

Family members say they will continue the vigil as long as possible, and they have also started a performing arts scholarship in Brandy's name.

A Boardman performing arts student will receive a $1,500 scholarship next week.
