BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - U.S. Marshals and Boardman police caught up with a man accused of pulling out a sheathed knife when a Rulli Brothers Supermarket employee questioned him about some produce he had taken out of the store.

Ronald Wolfe, 52, of Boardman was arrested Wednesday along Midlothian Boulevard on a warrant charging him with robbery.

According to a police report, it was back in June when an employee of the South Avenue Rulli Brothers says he spotted a customer leaving the store with about $20 worth of produce beneath some shopping bags.

Thinking it was unusual that the goods were under the bag instead of inside the bag, the employee asked the man if he had a receipt.

The report says that the man claimed he had a receipt and kept walking to his car.

When the employee again asked for a receipt, the man got into his car with the produce and showed the worker a sheathed knife approximately six to eight inches long, according to the employee.

The suspect drove away, but the employee got a description of the car and the license plate, which police traced back to Ronald Wolfe, who is scheduled to appear in court Thursday afternoon.

At the time of the incident, Wolfe was on probation for a previous conviction on one count of cocaine possession.
