An arson team is being called to investigate a garage fire at a New Springfield apartment.

NEW SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - An arson team is being called to investigate a garage fire at a New Springfield apartment.
The fire started around 8 p.m. Friday night on the 11000 block of Beard Road.
New Springfield's Fire Chief said the fire was contained to the garage and there was no damage to the apartment above it.
The arson team was called because officials do not know yet what caused the fire.
The chief said several wooden pallets in the garage caught fire.
Crews had to pump water from a hydrant about a mile away and bring it in using tankers to help douse the flames.
The fire was put out in about half an hour, according to the chief.
The chief said no one was inside the residence and there were no vehicles in the garage, but the new tenant for the apartment was supposed to move on Saturday.
