Youngstown Mayor has concerns over ambulance provider
The mayor of Youngstown said he shares the concerns of the fire chief when it comes to issues regarding ambulance service for the city.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The mayor of Youngstown said he shares the concerns of the fire chief when it comes to issues regarding ambulance service for the city.
Youngstown Fire Chief Barry Finley told 21 News that AMR is doing the city a favor by operating on a month-to-month contract, but he has concerns that AMR could pull out at any time.
On Friday, the chief said he was looking at other options for EMS providers, but in the meantime, he is concerned about AMR's response times.
Mayor Jamael Tito Brown said the citizens have to come first.
"My concern is the service and delivery to the citizens of Youngstown, so I've talked to Chief Finley and he's put together a team to look at how do we continue making sure that we have service for when calls are needed when it's necessary for the citizens," said Mayor Brown. "We are actively looking into that. We want to have someone in place that's going to provide for the citizens of Youngstown."
The Regional Director of AMR recently told 21 News that they will not abandon Youngstown, but he said the current way of doing things isn't sustainable with more cost than revenue.
