A fairly decent end to the weekend is in store for our Sunday. Look for skies to become mostly sunny by late afternoon and a high near 40.


Rain arrives by midday New Year's Eve and it'll be gusty at times with a late evening high of 56; rainfall totals could range from .5" to 1" in some areas:


New Year's Day will see morning showers followed by falling temps and mostly cloudy skies with temps dropping through the 30s.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a flurry possible and a high of 32.

Thursday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

There's a question about a late week system that could affect the Valley and the forecast models are having a hard time agreeing on the scenario.

For now, Friday looks mostly cloudy with a shower or light mix or rain/snow possible and a high near 40.

Morning flurries possible Saturday and a high in the low 40s.
