Suspect in December club shooting indicted for murder

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The suspect in a late December shooting at a Youngstown club is now facing charges in Mahoning County Court.
Twenty-three-year-old Christian Ortiz Jordan has been indicted by a grand jury on several charges including murder with a firearm specification, two counts of felonious assault, and one charge of illegally possessing a firearm in a liquor permit premises.
Ortiz Jordan surrendered to police in January in Puerto Rico but has been extradited to Youngstown.
Ortiz Jordan is accused in the murder of 30-year-old Bobby Robert Gonzalez Torres of Youngstown inside the Sons of Borinquen sports club.
Two others, a male, and a female were taken to St. Elizabeth with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
The Youngstown Police Detective Division conducted a search warrant at Jordan's home in January along with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force based in Youngstown.
The detective talked with the suspect's family who ultimately urged Jordan to turn himself in.
Ortiz Jordan is being held in the Mahoning County jail without bond. His next court date has not yet been updated on an online court docket.
