Memorial Day weekend is upon us and some local agencies are adding extra patrols to keep residents safe.

Police Departments in Austintown, Canfield, Farrell and Youngstown told 21 News that they will have extra patrols for the long weekend.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol are adding patrols at a county level.

State Patrol posts in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties say that they will spread extra patrols throughout the county.
