NEW CUMBERLAND, Wv. - Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort in New Cumberland, West Virginia has been sold to another gaming company and real estate company in a deal that includes two Missouri casinos operated by Eldorado Resorts.

Eldorado announced on Monday it has agreed to sell Mountaineer, as well as Isle Casino in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Lady Luck Casino in Caruthersville, Missouri, for $385 million.

Century Casinos will acquire the operating assets of the three properties for approximately $107 million. VICI Properties Inc. will acquire the land and real estate assets of the three properties for roughly $278 million.

Mountaineer is a popular gaming destination for people living in the Mahoning Valley.

“The agreements to divest Mountaineer Casino, Isle Casino Cape Girardeau and Lady Luck Casino Caruthersville are consistent with our continued focus on optimizing the results from our regional gaming platform, generating growth through strategic acquisitions and realizing value through sales,” said Tom Reeg, Chief Executive Officer of Eldorado.

The deal, which still requires regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed by next year.

Eldorado Resorts owns and operates 26 properties in 12 states, including Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Eldorado’s properties feature approximately 28,000 slot machines and VLTs and approximately 750 table games, and over 12,500 hotel rooms.
