WARREN, Ohio - Hundreds turned out to remember a 17-year-old who passed away after an ATV accident in Warren Friday night.
People gathered on Parkwood Drive to honor Jeremiah Barnes Sunday afternoon with a walk.
His family, friends and the community remembered him for his sense of humor and kindness, among other positive attributes.
"Nobody was a stranger. He was willing to help anybody that he could in any way that he could," said his mother, Alethea Barnes.
A friend added he was a bright person who had a kind heart and always knew how to make people smile.
Jeremiah was a student at Warren G. Harding, and on Sunday, the school also hosted grief counselors for students mourning.
He was involved in many extracurricular activities there, including choir and basketball.
